Sangheili sketchdump

Well, with a couple of Kig-Yar sprinkled in. Some of the characters here are related to my Chikri-Merkaa Conflux fanon project, while others are just random doodles that I might or might not end up using in more finished projects. As usual, the quality of the sketches fluctuates based on the level of effort and time involved at any given time.

I love the classic design of the Elites, especially the Halo CE/Halo 2 ones. They're some of the coolest-looking aliens out there, with their slim and streamlined profiles; you know instantly by just looking at them that these guys are fast, agile, deadly, and definitely in charge. Over time they've become more and more bulky, heavy, and hunched-over, which has made them lose a lot of their unique character IMO. In Halo 5 they're so lumbering the very act of walking seems to come through great effort to them, and the way they move their heavy-set bodies in general is very slow and graceless, at least in the cutscenes. I thought we already had a species to fill the "heavy and brutal" niche in the Jiralhanae?
